The Mission of The Pinnacle Charter School Counseling Department is to provide opportunities for students through support of personal, social, emotional, and academic well-being.  The Pinnacle Counseling Department aims to guide students and families through developmental stages and to enable all students to reach their full potential.

ASCENT Program


  • 1 year FREE tuition @ Front Range Community College while staying enrolled as a PCHS student
  • Must have minimum of 12 college credits by end of 12th grade
  • Sign up with Mrs. Apodaca your SENIOR year 
  • Applications due to Mrs. Apodaca April of senior year
  • Notification of approval will be end of May via email or phone

College Opportunity Fund:

Students are asked to complete the College Opportunity Fund Application. If they opt out of completing this application, student are responsible to pay this portion of their tuition.  Website:

Individual Career & Academic Plan:

ICAP is a multi-year process that intentionally guides students and families in the exploration of career, academic and post-secondary opportunities. With the support of adults, students develop the awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and skills to create their own meaningful and powerful pathways to be career and college ready.

Every student will work towards completion of goals as they complete their coursework to earn their high school diploma.

Colorado specific Scholarships:
The Boettcher Foundation Scholarship supports Colorado’s high-potential graduating seniors by providing them with a full-ride scholarship to attend a Colorado college or university. Applications due Oct. 25th. Please see your counselor for more information.
A four year annually-renewable college scholarship for graduating high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. Applications are now open

One scholarship of $2,500 and nine scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to graduating seniors to attend the college of their choice. 

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s scholarship programs are designed to encourage and support outstanding students who work hard and have financial need. 

A generous $1,000.00 scholarship for individuals who have been effected by a disability.

The mission  of the Latin American Educational Foundation is to provide access to higher education for Hispanics in Colorado. In order to apply for the LAEF general scholarship you must meet the following criteria: This scholarship is available for current high school seniors.

Naviance is a college and career readiness program that provides college planning and career assessment tools for Pinnacle Charter High School students. It gives counselors the ability to track the progress of individual students, communicate, and collaborate with students and families.  Additionally, Naviance's integration with the Common Application facilitates the submission of college applications, as well as transcripts, school forms, and recommendations.  The Pinnacle Charter High School Counseling Department use an established curriculum beginning at grade nine through twelve to help students identify future goals as well as avenues and tools to achieve those goals.
