Pinnacle Performing Arts Complex

The Performing Arts Complex (PAC) at Pinnacle Charter School was built in 2004 and recently remodeled in 2021.  Pinnacle is very proud of our facilities which enhance our educational programs as well as enhance the cultural opportunities in the north metro community. The complex has a competitive gymnasium with locker rooms, elementary gymnasium, concession stand, band room, community room, auditorium with stadium seating, art gallery, classrooms, and office space.

The venue is designed as a dance space with a permanent dance lighting set-up, and rentable Marley flooring. In addition to dance companies, recitals, and competitions,  The PAC has also hosted fitness competitions, orchestra concerts, theatrical performances, conferences, karate belting ceremonies, and many other community events.

The Performing Arts Complex at Pinnacle Charter School is located 10 minutes north of Denver with easy access from Highway 36 and I-25. The complex features an auditorium with 600 seats; 300 stadium style and 300 orchestra seats; both with unobstructed views of the stage. We also have 20 ADA seats in the center of the house.

The venue is managed and maintained through a partnership with the Colorado Conservatory of Dance (CCD) by the conservatory’s Production and Venue Manager. Together the companies strive to provide performing arts opportunities to the north Denver communities they serve. To learn more about CCD click here.

Venue Information

Lighting System
At the PAC we have an ETC lighting system run off of an ETC ION console. We have a permanent rep. plot that includes side light, high sides, color changing LED down light, changeable conventional cyc color washes, warm and cool front washes, a center center special, and a standard texture. Additional specials may be available depending upon the time of year and show schedule.

Audio System
Our house system is anchored by a Heath and Allen GL3800. The PAC has 4 overhead stage monitors. They are positioned on either side of wings 1 and 4 for performers. In addition the PAC has a FOH array on either side of the proscenium wall for the audiences. We have 3 Shure wireless handheld microphones in the system available for use. We do not have any room mics in our system. We also have com positions in wing 1 on either side of stage and in the booth for easy communication between tech staff and backstage. We run all audio files off of Qlab. All music files must be delivered 10 days prior to show to ensure that production file can be built and tested.

Projection System
In Fall of 2022 the PAC purchased an Epson Laser Projector. If you would like PAC stuff to run the projections we run all video files off of Qlab and require all video files 10 days prior to your event for pre-programming in our system so we can test all files. We also recommend brining a back up of all files the day of just in case. If you are running your own system you will need an HDMI import on the computer running the images

Streaming From the PAC
We do have wifi available upon request and you can stream via wifi if you provide us with the website information for your streaming service 1 month prior to your event for Pinnacle IT approval. At this time we do not have the ability to provide a hard line for streaming. If you are worried about the stream quality we recommend bringing in your own hotspot dedicated to streaming.

FAQs / Building Info
What are the building hours?
The building is rentable from 7am-10pm on non school days ( Saturday / Sunday / School Breaks) and 4pm-10pm on school days (Tuesday-Friday). We are closed to the public on Mondays unless special arrangements are made. You may not enter the venue unless you have booked a tour, have an in person meeting, or are connected to an event in progress. For multi day events we are open to discussing load in or out time outside this window but we can’t guarantee the venue will be cleaned overnight if the event extends outside of that time window. Allowing rental outside of building is at the discretion of the venue manager and event management staff.

Can we rent the Gyms in addition to the Auditorium as dressing space?
It depends. Both the large and small gym rentals go through our athletic director. The Large Gym is not a rentable space for the 22-23 season due to our athletics schedule.  If you would like to add the Small Gym for your event before we get to the contract phase a request will have to be submitted on your behalf and approved.  The Performing Arts Complex staff is not in charge of these spaces or their calendar and cannot guarantee availability prior to request approval.

Can we rent the Regis Room?
No. The Regis Room is being used as a classroom for the 22-23 season and is unavailable to rent.

When can I schedule a tour?
All tours must be scheduled during office hours or outside of school hours. Available tour slots will vary depending on the school and event calendar in any given week. If you are unable to make it during office hours we will do our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee outside availability. Tour requests must be made at least two weeks in advance. The venue is closed to the public on Mondays and cannot accommodate tours. Tours can be requested contacting the Event Center Manager by phone at 303-450-3985 ext. 4000 or by email at [email protected].

Can we rent the Gallery by itself?
Yes. The gallery is available for rent individually as long as there is not an event taking place in the Auditorium. As the Auditorium doors are in the Gallery and it serves as the theater lobby we cannot accommodate the use of both spaces independently.

Can we bring in a food truck?
Yes. If it’s outside of school hours. They  can park in the parent pick up lane or the surface parking area outside the event center. They must be up to date with tax license and permitting for ADAMS County but at this time no other permitting is required. PAC staff will let you know if this changes.

Colorado Conservatory of Dance (CCD) believes in a better life through dance. We understand the importance of high-quality arts education. We begin our contribution and dedication to better lives through dance in our Broomfield studios. We teach dance in a healthy, caring, and nurturing way by listening, seeing, and fulfilling the needs of all of our dance students—both children and adults. CCD gives the same great training and commitment to students who dance purely for the joy of it as it does to those who have career aspirations.

We continue our commitment beyond our Broomfield location through our thriving community programs. We seek to heighten education, deepen self-esteem, and further the art of dance in a fun and engaging way. We make a real and important impact for and with our community and enrich the future of arts education.
