Pinnacle Connect

R: Pinnacle Connect ha sido diseñado para combinar lo mejor de los modelos en línea y en persona. Los estudiantes en Pinnacle Connect tendrán un Líder de Pack que no solo será su maestro, sino que también ayudará a apoyar al estudiante y su familia con la experiencia de aprendizaje. Los estudiantes de Pinnacle Connect pasarán cuatro días a la semana en el aprendizaje en línea (lunes, martes, jueves y viernes). Cada miércoles será un día escolar interactivo.

A: Interactive Wednesdays are an opportunity for our Pinnacle Connect students to build stronger positive relationships with their peers and their teachers.  It is a day when students can engage in labs, projects, field trips and other hands-on activities. 

Secondary Students (grades 6-12): The Pinnacle Connect secondary students will come into the school two times per month for in school activities such as labs, projects, electives activities, small group tutoring or targeted instruction.  Connect secondary students will each have a portfolio created online where they will be able to select “modules” that they would like to attend on Interactive Wednesdays.  On Wednesdays that are not in-school, secondary students will be provided with options to attend field trips, community events, and visits by local museums, groups, and businesses.

R: Los miércoles interactivos son una oportunidad para que nuestros estudiantes de Pinnacle Connect establezcan relaciones positivas más sólidas con sus compañeros y sus maestros. Es un día en el que los estudiantes pueden participar en laboratorios, proyectos, excursiones y otras actividades prácticas.

Estudiantes de secundaria (grados 6-12): Los estudiantes de secundaria de Pinnacle Connect vendrán a la escuela dos veces al mes para participar en actividades escolares como laboratorios, proyectos, actividades electivas, tutoría en grupos pequeños o instrucción dirigida. Cada uno de los estudiantes de secundaria de Connect tendrá un portafolio creado en línea donde podrán seleccionar "módulos" a los que les gustaría asistir los miércoles interactivos. Los miércoles que no estén en la escuela, los estudiantes de secundaria tendrán opciones para asistir a excursiones, eventos comunitarios y visitas de museos, grupos y empresas locales.

Secondary students (grades 6-12)

The Pinnacle Connect secondary school students will have more flexibility built into their daily schedule.  The school days will consist of morning meetings, check ins with their Pack Leaders, independent learning time, individual and small group tutoring.

A: Each student of the Pinnacle Connect will be provided with an agreement/contract that is specific to their educational and family needs.  This agreement will outline what the school will expect of the student and their family, as well as what the student and family can expect from the school.  This agreement will also document any special circumstances, needs for increased flexibility, accommodations, etc. that the student or their family may need.

R: A cada estudiante de Pinnacle Connect se le proporcionará un acuerdo / contrato específico para sus necesidades educativas y familiares. Este acuerdo describe lo que la escuela esperará del estudiante y su familia, así como lo que el estudiante y la familia pueden esperar de la escuela. Este acuerdo también documentará cualquier circunstancia especial, necesidad de mayor flexibilidad, adaptaciones, etc. que el estudiante o su familia puedan necesitar.

A: Each Pinnacle Connect student will be assigned to a Pack Leader.  This Pack Leader will not only be a certified teacher, but they will also ensure strong communication between the school and the student/family, assist with any resources needed for student success, and support the student in their course work.

A: The Pinnacle Charter School uses Pearson Connexus.  Pearson Connexus is an online educational management system that also provides high quality, research based curriculum for all grades 6 -12.  They offer over 700 courses to choose from.

A: The Pinnacle Connect will provide certified supports to ensure that students are provided with appropriate assessments, plan development, and that their accommodations in their plans are met.  The Pinnacle Connect is committed to meeting students where they are and with providing all students with access and supports to ensure their success in school.

A:  The Pinnacle Connect offers flexibility for students to move through the curriculum at their own pace.  Pack Leaders will provide gifted students with deeper and more complex challenges to ensure their growth matches their abilities.  Students will also receive supports to meet goals created in their Advanced Learning Plans.

R: Pinnacle Connect ofrece flexibilidad para que los estudiantes avancen en el plan de estudios a su propio ritmo. A: YES!  All Pinnacle Connect students are encouraged to attend any of The Pinnacle Charter School’s clubs, events, sports teams, programs that we offer!  The Pinnacle Connect students and families are all part of the Pinnacle Pack!

A: As part of the Pinnacle Charter School, the Pinnacle Connect has support from all of the Pinnacle specialists and coordinators.  The Pinnacle Restorative Intervention Coordinator provides guidance and programming options to support our students’ social-emotional needs.  We will also have a social worker/counselor that is knowledgeable of the needs of online/distance learning students and their families.

R: Como parte de Pinnacle Charter School, Pinnacle Connect cuenta con el apoyo de todos los especialistas y coordinadores de Pinnacle. El Coordinador de Intervención Restaurativa de Pinnacle brinda orientación y opciones de programación para apoyar las necesidades socioemocionales de nuestros estudiantes. A: We understand that online/hybrid learning requires supports for instruction, engagement, and more, so we are working hard to keep our Pack Leader to student ratio to 25 students, if possible.

A: Although the Pinnacle Connect will provide Pack Leaders and staff for academic and social-emotional support of our students, we do expect that parents/guardians/families provide high expectations for their students’ academic success.  This includes providing your child with a quiet space for online learning or setting high expectations for quality school work.

A: The only way a student can move from Connect to Direct (or vice verse), the parent/guardian and the Connect director would need to meet with representatives from the Pinnacle Direct (in-school option) to determine if there is sufficient need to justify the transfer to the other program.

A: Yes, for the most part.  The Pinnacle Connect will follow the Pinnacle Charter School master school calendar for all holidays.  The main differences will be; Connect students will attend Interactive Wednesdays each week.  We will have a specialized orientation meeting for each student, family and Pack Leader before the start of the school year.  Plus there will be minor differences in testing and conference dates.  All of this information will be communicated to students and families well in advance.

R: Sí, en su mayor parte. Pinnacle Connect seguirá el calendario escolar maestro de Pinnacle Charter School durante todos los días festivos. Las principales diferencias serán; Los estudiantes de Connect asistirán a los miércoles interactivos cada semana. A: The Pinnacle Connect students will get a supply list similar to the in-school students.  Any materials needed for lessons at home will be provided to the students on the Interactive Wednesdays.
