This Pinnacle High School group is called SHPE, Jr. (Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers). This is a national group, and we are sponsored by the SHPE student chapter at Colorado School of Mines. It is an extracurricular group - students meet and do this work outside of all their regular classes.
Part of what this group encourages is STEM awareness and promotion. To that end, these 30 students put together these demonstrations to share their love of science and engineering with our younger students! They had a busy, exhausting, but very fun day with our 3rd-5th grade students.
