Pinnacle Charter Middle School summer programs are being offered for interested incoming 6th through 8th grade students this summer!
Dates: June 5th through 8th and June 12th through 15th from 8am-1pm
Programs are capped at 25 open spots per program. These programs are designed to help students get ready for the next grade level in academic language, enhance Science or Math Skills, engage critical thinking skills and have a great time!
The AVID Math and Science STEM Summer Bridge Programs are designed to strengthen students’ math and science skills and to increase the number of students who enroll and succeed in Algebra 1. These middle school programs provide engaging, real-world science and math learning opportunities. Each program teaches rigorous content using WICOR strategies such as focused note-taking, interactive notebooks, writing and vocabulary activities, and team building to engage students in STEM opportunities. The engaging, interactive lessons and collaborative activities also incorporate strategies that provide support for English Language Learners. The individual AVID Summer Bridge Programs are correlated to national math and science standards and skills. 25-50 openings will be available for the two weeks.
AVID’s English Language Development (ELD) Summer Bridge provides middle school English language learners with an opportunity to engage in interactive and fun lessons that focus on academic language acquisition, community building, and school connectivity. 25-50 openings will be available for the two weeks.
VEX Robotics Camp: VEX Robotics is educational robotics for all skill levels and will be available for students entering 6th through 8th grades. VEX solutions span all levels of both formal and informal education with accessible, scalable, and affordable solutions. Beyond science and engineering principles, VEX encourages creativity, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving among groups. This camp engages and inspires the STEM problem solvers of tomorrow! 25 openings available for the two weeks.
