PINNACLE POST
First Day of School — Wednesday, August 12, 2026
Lead the Pack. Support the Pack. Be the Pack.Dear Pinnacle Middle School Families,
Tomorrow is the first day of school! We are excited to welcome our students back and begin an outstanding 2026–2027 school year together.
Our teachers and staff are ready to help students learn their routines, find their classrooms, build relationships, and begin the year feeling confident and connected. Please review the important information below to help your student prepare for a successful first day.

School Hours
School begins: 8:10 a.m.School dismisses: 3:25 p.m.
Students should arrive with enough time to be in class and ready to learn by 8:10 a.m. Please expect additional traffic and longer arrival and dismissal lines during the first several days as everyone becomes familiar with school routines.
Bell Schedule Through August 28
Pinnacle Middle School will follow the Monday/Wednesday/Friday bell schedule every school day through Friday, August 28. Students should follow this schedule regardless of the day of the week during this opening period. We will communicate with students and families before transitioning to the regular rotating schedule.
Grade-Level Meetings Tomorrow
All students will participate in grade-level meetings tomorrow. During these meetings, the middle school team will review:- Academic and behavioral expectations
- Uniform requirements
- Cell phone and personal-device expectations
- Attendance and tardy procedures
- Hallway, classroom, lunch, and dismissal routines
- School safety and student-support procedures
- What it means to Lead the Pack, Support the Pack, and Be the Pack
Student Schedules and Placement
Student schedules may change as we place students according to academic need, grade level, and interest. Some students will complete an assessment to help us determine the most appropriate course placement.Because this placement process is still underway, families may notice schedule adjustments during the opening days of school. Students should continue following the schedule shown in Infinite Campus unless they receive an updated schedule or instructions from a staff member.
A formal process will be used for schedule-change questions and requests. Submitting a request does not guarantee a change. Requests will be reviewed based on student needs, assessment results, course availability, class size, and scheduling requirements.
For questions, please contact the counselor assigned according to the student’s last name:
- A–L: Denise Edlowitz
- M–Z: Denise Rodriguez
What Students Should Bring
Students should bring:- A backpack
- School supplies
- A positive attitude and readiness to learn
EduKits Have Arrived
EduKits are here for families who placed an order. Students who ordered an EduKit will receive their supplies at school, so families do not need to purchase a duplicate set.The complete 2026–2027 school supply list is available on the school website.
PACK Expectations: A Quick Family Review
A strong school year begins with shared expectations. Please review these important reminders with your student before the first day.Uniforms
All middle school students must arrive in the approved Pinnacle uniform and remain in uniform throughout the school day.Approved attire includes:
- Solid navy, white, or gray polo or button-down shirts
- Khaki, navy, or black pants, shorts, skirts, or skorts

Cell Phones and Personal Devices
Cell phones, earbuds, headphones, smartwatches, and other personal electronic devices must be turned off and stored during the school day unless a staff member has specifically authorized their use for an instructional purpose.Students may not use personal devices in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, or during lunch. Devices that are visible, audible, or used without permission will be addressed according to school policy.
Families who need to reach a student during the school day should call the main office at 303-450-3985. Please help us protect focused learning time by reviewing these expectations with your student.
Attendance

Students are expected to attend school all day, every day, unless they are ill or have another approved reason for an absence.Parents and guardians must report an absence within 48 hours by emailing attendancek12@pinnaclecharterschool.org. An absence that is not reported within 48 hours cannot be excused. Documentation may be required, particularly after five parent-excused absences in a semester.
Whenever possible, please schedule appointments outside school hours. Families experiencing barriers related to health, transportation, or other circumstances should contact us so we can help.
Tardies and Punctuality
School begins promptly at 8:10 a.m. Students should arrive early enough to be in class, seated, and ready to learn when the bell rings.Students are also expected to move directly to class and arrive on time for every period throughout the day. Repeated tardies will result in family communication and appropriate interventions.
Please establish a consistent morning routine and allow extra travel time during the first several days, when arrival traffic may be heavier than usual.
