Enrollment Process

What to Expect

Parents/Guardians must submit an online application form indicating their desire for their child to attend Pinnacle. The initial application will collect basic applicant information, such as student name, grade, and birth date, along with contact information from the parent/guardian.  The application must be filled out in full and submitted to the school, all status updates are done via email.  To complete the application click the Enroll Now on the right menu.

Pinnacle Charter School has a random selection waitlist. If there are any Priority Enrollments (children of current Pinnacle employees or siblings of already admitted students) in a particular grade, they will be identified and provided an Invitation to Enroll prior to other applicants.  For grade levels that are under-filled, applicants who submit applications prior to or during our enrollment period, shall be admitted on a first come first serve basis. Furthermore, the applications and students on the applications will be accepted until grade levels are filled, after which point a random selection waitlist will begin. Students will be selected from the random selection waitlist as seats become available, and will be notified if selected.

Once an enrollment offer is extended, the parent/guardian has 10 business days to accept the spot and complete the final paperwork.  An email will be sent to the applicant to complete the final paperwork. If the registration department does not receive the final application within 10 business days, the student’s application is inactivated, and Pinnacle will turn the waitlist to fill the spot.  Special waivers and a signature line require parents/legal guardians to verify that they have read the accompanying school rules, procedures, and expectations and understand the educational choice that Pinnacle represents, please review the Parent/Student Handbook here.

An offer of enrollment may be overturned, or an application may be denied for the following reasons (in accordance with CRS 22‐33‐106 [3]). Parents may request an explanation for denials.

  1. The student has already graduated from high school (or its equivalent)
  2. Failure to meet age requirements
  3. Having been expelled from any school district in the preceding 12 months
  4. Failure to adhere to immunization requirements
  5. Behavior in another school district in the preceding 12 months that is detrimental to the welfare of safety of other pupils or of school personnel.
